Sepideh Hassani
Based in Vienna, Sepideh Hassani (1983) is an artist and researcher currently studying at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna. Holding a PhD in Education and a training at the Friedl Kubelka School of Artistic Photography, her practice engages with anti-racist and queer-feminist perspectives to explore the representation of underrepresented positions. Through conceptual approaches, she develops counter-images to stereotypical notions shaped by white, male, and capitalist frameworks. Moving between humor and seriousness, her works create spaces for reflection and re-visioning of social narratives.
