Sepideh Hassani (*1983, Teheran, Iran) lives and works in Vienna.
She is an artist and researcher currently studying at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna. Holding a PhD in Education and a training at the Friedl Kubelka School of Artistic Photography, her practice evolves from anti-racist and queer-feminist perspectives. Through conceptual forms she develops counter-images that question dominant representations. Moving between humor and seriousness, precision and ambiguity, her works create spaces for re-visioning of social narratives.
